Corey Volunteers to Make Change

Updated: Oct 25

Corey volunteers as a Recovery Coordinator with the Georgetown Police Department.

Corey's journey with the Georgetown Police Department started when he witnessed his son David's experiences with law enforcement during his substance use disorder (SUD). This motivated Corey to seek better treatment alternatives beyond prison. Now, as a recovery support coordinator, Corey is dedicated to implementing effective treatment options in his Georgetown community. He believes that by supporting people in their pursuit of treatment and offering alternatives to prison, we can significantly impact people's lives and foster thriving communities.
