Showing up, being present, living in the moment – those are things we can all value, and they're part of Kelly's experience in long-term recovery.
Growing up in Winchester, Kelly was a lifeguard and hoped to become a nurse someday. She always knew she wanted to help people, but for a long time, her opioid use disorder (OUD) made those goals difficult to achieve.
Today she's living her values, helping others on their recovery journeys through her work as a program manager and taking time for the good things in life. "I found out that I love the outdoors -- camping, hiking, boating," Kelly says. "And I wanted to give back to my community. Today I have a life that I never thought possible."
