When Melinda found a treatment program with a supportive community, she knew she'd found something special.
Melinda's community was an essential piece in her recovery. While she was hesitant at first to seek help for her substance use disorder (SUD), she found a treatment center that was right for her, where she developed strong connections. "Other people in the community, meetings, people in the meetings," Melinda recalls, "they was there for us when we need them to be there for us." Relying on her community for support made her recovery feel possible.
