Join us for UNSHAME Kentucky’s July webinar, Minding Your (Bedside) Manner: Caring for Patients with Opioid Use Disorder, a presentation and panel discussion on how healthcare professionals that do not work in opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment and/or recovery can better provide care to patients with OUD. Presenters and panelists will explore relevant topics related to healthcare stigma, utilization of screening tools, and how individual providers can have a hand in helping someone with OUD feel comfortable seeking medical care.
 

Shatterproof's Rachael Cooper will present findings from the Addiction Stigma Index, detailing the role of stigma within the healthcare system and how it creates barriers to seeking treatment. Other featured panelists will also identify opportunities to convert individual actions and advocacy into systemic change across urban and rural communities.
